Meet the Mini-Makers - Why I love You

It is with great pride that Sandy, the founder of Irie Bliss, interviews her daughter Naomi about being the founder of her own brand "Why I Love You".

Tell us a little bit about the inspiration for your brand name, Why I Love You! Where did you come up with that? This is your chance to describe the story of your brand and your intention.

We came up with our brand name when we were hanging out and doing arts and crafts. We found a photo that Lily’s brother drew. The scribbles looked like a W, I, and a Y. We thought about the letters turning into a business name. That night, we mapped out our products and prices. Our lives were never the same!

What types of products are you currently making?

We are consistently working on all of our products, from crochet to body care. Yet recently, we have been working on our candles, which are coming out on March 29th!! Come see us during Soul Saturday from 12-3!! We have three scents: Coconut Coffee, Lavender, and Lemon Balm!

What inspired you to start making self-care products? 

We began to work on self-care products in April of last year. We were inspired when looking at the products we use on our skin constantly. The harmful ingredients, the breakouts, and overall, how NOTHING was worth our money. We started our self care line to encourage others to be nicer to their skin with our products that were all natural. Say goodbye to chemicals and hello to organic!

I am curious why you chose to use sugar in your body scrub instead of salt? Was there a specific reason behind that? 

With salt, it is often rougher on skin. With sugar, it is better for sensitive skin on your body and face.

Where can we find your products?

Every week, we do a pop-up at Irie Bliss Wellness in Weymouth, MA from 12-3. Other than that, we sell online on Instagram (@whyiloveyoubrand). You can also find any schedule changes on our Instagram as well!
